The Third round of updates for 2025: Take control of custom workflows

Our third round of upgrades went live.
Before we begin, the Minister of Finance has just issued a statement on the reversal of the VAT increase! Read more about it here.
As a result, Vat in DataGrows has been changed back to 15% from 1 May.
Let's get to the upgrade:
What's New? This update includes many things, but two of them really stand out.
We now have inline editing.
You can now set up custom workflows for each task! This is HUGE.
Both of these features came from suggestions from you, our valued clients.

All Tasks Due vs All Tasks Due Detail:
The old All Tasks Due table has been replaced with the All Tasks Due Detail table to provide a better, more detailed view of what is going on. It now includes the On Leave indicator. (Yes, Accountants – you may take leave! Remember to log leave under Time Management so that deadlines are never missed).
Customisable Workflows
You can finally create your own workflow steps for each task. This will enable you to add as many steps as you need for each task and modify them for each client. Please read this detailed post for more information. And join us next Tuesday 29 April for a live demonstration. Book your spot now!
Inline Editing
We have introduced inline editing to some of our tables. This will enable you to easily input information without needing to open an input form first. A table with inline editing activated will display with a pencil icon at the top. If you double-click in any of these fields, you can input information. Clicking away or pressing enter allows you to save.

Firm newsletter-style email
There is a new email in the email table under the Communication department called Firm Newsletter. It serves as a newsletter to inform clients of important information in bulk. This email, when actioned, will go out to all active clients where email permissions are switched on. It will be an email from the Accountant assigned to the client.
We have prepopulated it with a message regarding the upcoming VAT increase so you can easily notify your clients. Feel free to edit this template and use the newsletter for any future firm news.
Additions:
A new way to reorder columns:
In addition to the standard dragging and dropping of columns to rearrange the order, there is now also a reorder columns button under the table heading that will enable you to arrange the columns as needed.

On Leave Indicator - All Tasks Due Detail
When leave is scheduled for any staff member in the Time Management department under Leave Tracker, it will pull through to the All Tasks Due Detail table in the On Leave column as an indicator of if tasks will be missed.
Fixes:
The Integrated Checkbox in the Client table has been fixed and will indicate correctly for clients posted to Sage or Xero.
Demographic, Gender, & Disability will now pull through to the Beneficial Ownership Declaration table when an existing client is selected.
Right-clicking on a Hotlink in the All Tasks Due Detail table will open the record in a new tab.
Other Additions:
You are now able to attach an image to any of our automated emails. Simply click on the image icon in the email template body and insert the image.
Reports:
A new Non-Billable Time report has been introduced to Firm Reports – this shows records indicated in the time log tables as non-billable.
A Non-productive Time report has also been added for things like leave.
